The National Rescue Museum takes pride in its sailing historical heritage. We warmly welcome visitors on board. You can book various boat tours with us. Not only through the beautiful inner harbor; we also love to venture out onto the open sea. The National Rescue Museum offers boat tours on the Wadden Sea, and the North Holland Canal.
Step aboard the historical lifeboat Johan de Witt. From April 1 to November 1, our volunteers conduct tours through Den Helder's inner harbor. During your museum visit, you can reserve a time slot.
The National Rescue Museum also arranges boat tours on the Wadden Sea, and the North Holland Canal. Groups can book a delightful boat tour. You'll sail aboard the historical lifeboats Prins Hendrik, Javazee, or Tjerck Hiddes. A historical lifeboat can accommodate up to 12 people. Enjoy a great corporate outing or a fun family day at sea!
Interested in joining us with your group, family, or team? We can combine the boat tour with a museum visit and/or lunch. Fill out the form and send it to us:
Events Organizers of (maritime) events can hire our historical lifeboats. Visitors can sail aboard the lifeboats Prins Hendrik, Javazee, and Tjerck Hiddes or explore them on board. Additionally, we provide insights into the National Rescue Museum and the KNRM. Interested in this option?
Our historical lifeboats also set sail for sea burials. A beautiful tribute to your loved one. Want more information? Read all about the sea burial ceremony.
