Audio Tours for Children
The National Rescue Museum offers two audio tours specifically designed for children. You'll hear thrilling rescue stories and get involved yourself!
Photo audio tour Audio Tour in the Museum
Do you enjoy a bit of adventure? Then you're in the right place at the National Rescue Museum. The world of rescue is filled with exciting stories, fascinating objects, and brave heroes. Our rescuer Mees can't wait to take you on an adventure with the newly revamped children's audio tour! Discover fun facts, take part in a quiz, and get tips to dive deeper into the world of life-saving. Listen carefully to the questions and find the answers.
Did you answer the questions correctly? You could win a lifesaver's medal!
Photo audio tour Audio Tour about Willemsoord
On the Willemsoord grounds, where the National Rescue Museum is located, you can also take an audio tour. Starting outside the museum, this tour explores the history of this site and its "residents": the many old ships docked here. Do you know who Willemsoord is named after? How many people have been rescued by the (still sailing) lifeboats of the Rescue Museum? Rescuer Mees will tell you all sorts of fun facts and tidbits. This audio tour costs only €2 and is available at the museum's reception or through our online ticket shop.
After payment, you'll receive instructions via email to download an app. This app allows you to listen to the audio tour on your own mobile phone.
Activities in School Holidays
During school holidays, we have plenty of extra activities. For instance, you can learn knots from a real skipper, make your own Sou'wester hat, paint a lifeboat, or wander through the museum on an exciting treasure hunt. Will you be visiting with your father, mother, brother, or sister?
Check the schedule for the upcoming school holidays.
